We are seeking a Payroll Officer to work alongside our Payroll Manager to process our fortnightly and monthly payroll located at our Store Support Centre in Derrimut.
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the delivery of high-quality payroll to 600+ employees. Accurately administering end to end payroll in a timely and confidential manner.
Success Profile
· Minimum 3 years' experience in processing fortnightly and monthly end to-end-payroll
· Preferred knowledge of Harmony, HR and leave management systems
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with tact, discretion and diplomacy
· Calculating and processing terminations and WorkCover payments
· Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
· Effective communication (written & verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills
· High attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills
· Ability to juggle different tasks and requests
· Good knowledge of AU/NZ employment legislation including experience in award interpretation
· Assist with superannuation, workers compensation premiums, payroll tax, authorised payroll deductions and end of year process
· Responding to employee enquires concerning pay and leave entitlements
· Following up on outstanding leave request
Ability to work closely and build strong relationships with managers
A positive, can-do attitude
Retail experience would be advantageous
