SUMMARY OF ROLE
SunPower is seeking a Senior Analyst - Payments. The Senior Analyst - Payments reports to the Payments Team Lead and will be responsible for completing Cash Application, reconciliation and disbursement processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Receives and record cash from lockboxes, foreign accounts and incoming wires from Treasury department on a daily basis
Identifies customer's remittance and posting to the correct account by invoice
Creates short-pays and deductions on customer's accounts as directed by customer's remittance advice
Balance cash postings to cash receipts and prepare daily cash receipt report
Assists in creating write-offs and offsets related to unapplied cash
Maintains cash receipts record and files for any required research / audit and within Corporate policies
Assists with any research related to short-pays, deductions and customer payment posting
Daily review and reconciliation
Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements
At least 2 years of relevant work experience
A degree in Accounting, Financial Management or related courses
Strong problem-solving
Ability to process data and formulate plan of action to support data analysis, highly organized and attentive to details
Delivers quality work on time, proactively addressing and resolving emerging challenges
Proactively seeks to understand technical content and new or unfamiliar topics
Works independently, seeking advice from management and more senior team members when complex situations are encountered
Excellent oral and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate with people from all levels and multi-cultures
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functional business organizations, service-oriented and can effectively manage client requests.
OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION
Willing to work in Sta. Rosa, Laguna
Willing to travel to the US as needed
