Role Summary
 
A Pattern Maker plays a key role in the fashion and textile industry by transforming design concepts into accurate patterns used for cutting and assembling garments. They bridge the gap between a designer's vision and the physical product, ensuring garments are well-fitting, stylish, and production-ready.
 
Key Responsibilities
Develop precise garment patterns by hand or with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
Modify and refine patterns based on fitting sessions and feedback.
Prepare finalized patterns for large-scale or custom production.
Collaborate closely with designers, sample makers, and production teams.
Apply knowledge of garment construction techniques and textile behavior.
Skills Required
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabric types.
Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in pattern drafting.
Proficiency in CAD software for pattern making (AutoCAD or similar tools).
Effective communication skills with design and production teams.
Solid technical expertise in pattern grading and adjustments.
Basic proficiency in Japanese language (spoken).
