PASTRY CHEF
Job Description:
Manage and administer the preparation in creating unique baked goods, pastries, confections and other desserts. Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting. Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget. Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking. Develop and systematize menu items, order supplies, and keep inventory.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or any job-related course work.
Good knowledge of different types of pastry, dessert, cake decorating.
Possess professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings.
Proven experience as Pastry Chef, baker or relevant role.
Great attention to detail and creativity.
Good customer service skills.
Physically fit and healthy.
