We are looking for a motivated and qualified electrical designer.
We are looking to grow our team with an individual that can think analytically and thoroughly while being resourceful, detail-oriented, self-motivated, hardworking, flexible, and communicates and works well with others.
Job Duties:Perform all levels of engineering, including the following:
Responsible for electrical technical design and quality control on assigned projects.
Assist in the production of CAD drawings and specifications for new buildings, renovations, and additions to existing facilities such as within the commercial and school sectors.
Prepare for and resolve anticipated issues that arise in manufacturing, assembly, installation, and operations through drawings.
Ability to update designs based on verbal or written instructions from colleagues and customers.
Attention to detail is needed when assisting with the preparation of design drawings by performing, site survey, lighting and design and layout, panel schedule, load calculation, single line design, product specification, plot drawing, photometric calculation, electrical device layouts, circuitry, fixtures, etc., fault current, overcurrent coordination study, and, any other calculations required to support electrical design
Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications plans including all associated circuitry, details, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
Edit electrical specifications and implement proper AIC ratings of equipment, with guidance from engineers.
Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all building systems
Continuous learning of lighting design, receptacle, and data layouts based on different types of buildings
Knowledge of and willing to learn relevant California codes such as, PEC, NEC, CEC, and other codes.
Understand electrical vocabulary and terminology.
Contribute to and be part of an amicable working environment with fellow colleagues to meet project deadlines, with minimal supervision.
