AICA is looking for PART-TIME Homebased Online English Teachers (from 3pm-7pm or 5pm-9pm)
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct lessons to improve students' English speaking, reading, and listening skills
2. Create a positive teaching environment to ensure that the class is conducive to learning
3. Follow assigned class schedule and conduct classes on time via the AICA teaching platform or Zoom app
4. Track and submit class remarks every after class
5. Ensure that teaching equipment and internet connection are in good working condition at all times
6. Troubleshoot technical issues that may occur during class and report in real time
Skills Requirements:
1. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with neutral accent
2. Teaching experience of at least 6 months, preferably within a similar online environment
3. Capable of teaching kids/ early teens
4. Working knowledge on how to use Zoom and other online teaching platforms
5. Familiar in using Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Skype
Technical Requirements:
1. Laptop or desktop
> Windows 10 / MacOS 10.10 (Yosemite) or later
> 4Gb RAM or higher
> 2GHz Quad Core Processor or higher
> Chrome 71 / Safari 12 or later
2. Accessories
> Noise-cancelling headset
> Web Camera (External USB camera or built-in laptop camera) (1280 x 720 or higher)
3. Internet connection speed
> Wired (LAN C6 or up) of at least 10mbps on both download and upload
4. Teaching environment
> Quiet and private (no audible animal or vehicle sounds)
> Plain white/beige/grey background
> Well-lit and clutter-free
Compensation:
1. Successful applicants will be paid ₱100.00 on an hourly basis (fixed 4 hours; with/without class/es).
2. Work on holiday/s will be paid accordingly.
3. Work done beyond fixed 4-hour shift or on rest day will be paid accordingly (OT/RD OT)
4. Promotion to a full-time homebased teacher can be considered based on operational need and over-all work performance.
