JOB SUMMARY:
 
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal with strong experience in Credit and Collection to join our dynamic real estate team. This role combines legal administrative support with active participation in managing the company's accounts receivable and collection processes.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Legal / Paralegal Functions
Draft, review, and organize legal documents including contracts, lease agreements, demand letters, and case files.
Coordinate with external legal counsel on ongoing litigation or dispute resolution.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing real estate transactions and collections.
Maintain an organized legal filing system and monitor deadlines, hearings, and other legal activities.
Credit and Collection Functions
Monitor client accounts for overdue payments and initiate appropriate collection actions.
Contact clients and coordinate payment arrangements, negotiate settlements, and follow up on outstanding balances.
Issue demand letters and assist in legal collection proceedings when necessary.
Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status and aging analysis.
Collaborate with the finance and sales teams to manage credit risk and collection targets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Law, Finance, or related field.
At least 3 years of combined experience in paralegal work and credit and collections, preferably in the real estate industry.
Strong knowledge of legal procedures, real estate laws, and collection practices.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with legal or accounting software is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
PREFERRED:
Prior experience handling delinquent real estate accounts or tenant collections.
Familiarity with real estate contracts, tenant law, and lien processes.
