Job Description
Perform decorative painting work steps as per written work instruction & approved production order drawings/specifications. Collaborate with the Foreman- Paint Polish, Interior designers to understand the requirements for decorative painting works.
Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating by filling holes, sealing cracks and joints, cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed. Laying dust sheets to protect areas from paint. Removing old paint or wallpaper by sanding or scraping, or by liquid
Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades and effects.Create custom stencils or templates for unique patterns and designs. Brush, roll or spray paints, stains, varnishes and other finishes.
Apply decorative paint finishes using various techniques such as faux finishing, stencils, color glazing, ragging, sponging, and stippling. Provide recommendations on paint selection, finishes, and design concepts
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and maintenance of tools and materials. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Formal training or certification in decorative painting or fine arts. Experience working in high-end residential or commercial environments. Familiarity with digital design tools and software for creating and manipulating design concepts.
Proven experience as a Decorative Painter or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing your work. Proficiency in various decorative painting techniques and materials. Strong artistic skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret design concepts and translate them into beautiful, unique finishes.Safety-conscious and adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations.
