Packaging Engineer
About the role: Design & improve packaging, create the packaging specification, design label format, develop packaging supplier, develop, and set the standards and criteria for packaging material and testing, manage and troubleshoot packaging issues with the objective of ensuring the packaging meets the requirements and cost-saving within the direction of TE policies.
Responsibilities: Packaging RDO for development and design
Discuss with PE, customer, and RDO based on requirements for product packaging, and design the product packaging based on policy and standards.
Confirm packaging design, apply for proofing, and send to FSR for detection; evaluate the samples according to testing results.
Conduct drawing control through PDMLink and other related systems.
Collect ECR information and release ECR after conducting feasibility evaluation to ensure the product packaging design meets requirements and complies with established standards and processes.
Develop and set the standards and criteria for all packaging material and testing to ensure the packaging to meet the customer's requirement and TE's quality.
Product packaging improvement and cost-saving
Implement the product packing improvement project to meet customers' needs, reduce costs protect the environment, etc.
Supplier development
Collect market information and provide the feedback to purchasing department.
Participate in the supplier's assessment to support the supplier selection.
Product approvals
Cooperate with UL safety lab /CSA to perform Initial Production Inspection (IPI) and the follow-up inspection from time to time to ensure Initial Production Inspection (IPI) is successfully performed.
EHS
Commitment to Document of responsibility of environmental protection, occupational health, fire and safety production (IV).
Attend EHS training and review EHS lessons learned.
Make sure to achieve the EHS target and keep my work safe.
