Responsibilities:
Provide service and assistance to customers, sales partners, outside suppliers, and field offices related to unshipped orders.
Contact suppliers via phone or fax regarding the expected ship date of blank goods.
Prepare orders for production and ensure timely shipment, and apply continuous improvement tools and concepts.
Establish and maintain manual and automated filing and recordkeeping systems related to unshipped orders.
Contact outside suppliers, sales partners, and field offices to resolve production and other related problems.
Respond to inquiries from the factory on unshipped orders to ensure compliance with the production schedule and shipment deadline.
Research interaction on computers to resolve production and scheduling problems as necessary.
Change price, shipping date, or quantity information and issue change notice to correct sales/commission information.
Send a copy of the notice to sales partners and other Company personnel as required.
Advise sales partners and other Company personnel of back-ordered merchandise as required.
Respond to customer and sales representative inquiries, requests, and complaints related to unshipped orders within the authority and refer unresolved issues to the Manager.
Type memos or dictate letters to customer sales representatives and outside suppliers as necessary to expedite unshipped order operations.
Ensure timely delivery of orders and follow-up to resolve related problems.
Prepare order change and cancellation notices and process incurred charges.
Open and sort mail; pull factory orders and prepare for billing personnel.
Send and receive a fax, phone, and e-mail messages.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge equivalent to completion of four years of high school
Knowledge in specialized product and production processing knowledge.
Attainment of industry certification at the internal continuous improvement certification at the CIP (Continuous Improvement Practitioner) level within established time frames.
2-3 years of related experience.
