JOB DESCRIPTION:
Analyze SQL Codes and translate them into OAS (OBIEE) functionality;
Researches, develops, documents, and communicates the overall architectural approach for Enterprise Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE);
Plans and implements best-in-class Business Intelligence capabilities as per client's requirements;
Design, develop and build the OAS Oracle BI Repository;
Design, develop and implement Subject Area, Catalog and user access rights to objects and folders;
Independently design, develop and document dashboards, reports and analytical tools;
Design, develop and implement to export reports into certain format;
Leads the BI development practice leveraging best practices to ensure quality development, ease of maintenance, high level of usability and rapid delivery of BI reports and dashboards. Communicates best practices to business units and IT colleagues as appropriate;
Implement the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) for User Authentication;
Experienced professional with full understanding of BI concepts and best practices. Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways;
Design, develop and implement the Oracle BI Security Roles and Users;
Implement OAS (OBIEE) Clustering;
Configure OBIEE parameters such as Caching, Agents, Cache-Seeding, Delivers, etc.
Works on problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external partners, as well as varying levels of leadership across the organization;
Provide technical assistance to users and monitor performance of BI systems;
Conduct Unit Testing (UT) and create UT results documents;
Provide support for QA/UAT;
Create/maintain documentation to describe module logic and development processes;
Identify and act on opportunities to improve efficiency, pace, and quality within the team;
Can design, develop an OAS (OBIEE) training to the client;
Can deliver OAS (OBIEE) training to the client;
May mentor and/or provide work direction for junior developers;
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or any related field;
More than 3 years Business Intelligence implementation experience required; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required;
3 years of experience using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE);
Experience within a banking/financial institution is a plus;
Expert knowledge of Business Intelligence standards and best practices;
Expert at writing SQL for querying a database, particular Oracle Databases 10g to 12c;
Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling;
Able to read/write complex SQL queries to analyze data, investigate defects, validate data quality, etc.;
Strong SQL optimization capabilities;
Result oriented and willing to work in extended hours;
Clear understanding of RDBMS fundamentals;
Effective critical thinking, problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex concepts/issues;
Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities, balance team needs with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decision;
Ability to effectively write, speak, and present information to managers, team members, and business partners;
Ability to identify and appropriately escalate issues and risks to the team;
Quick learner and self-starter with the ability to absorb new information to support existing and new initiatives.
