Responsibilities
Responsible for onsite optics equipment installation and network expansion.
Perform basic commissioning of Nokia Optics equipment.
Conduct field OSP fiber troubleshooting and linkup.
Perform Optics Equipment Standalone Test and Network Test.
Assist NOC engineer for routine troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Good technical background in WDM, OTN, fiber optics, Ethernet, and IP
Basic electrical device installation skills and ESD awareness.
Working knowledge about network management systems and management connectivity (DCN)
Use of optical network test/measurement tools like power meter, OSA, BER testers, OTDR and other fiber characterization test sets
Good presentation and communication skills
Prepared to travel fairly extensively and have flexible working hours
Experience with MS Office; proficient with VISIO, Excel, and PowerPoint
The work experience in optical networking field is preferred.
