Responsibilities :
JOB PURPOSE/MISSION/SUMMARY:
The role ensures the smooth daily operations of various processes that contribute to the delivery of the services responsible for tracking the company's Operating Expense performance against Operating Expense Plan to help senior management make tactical and strategic decisions and the integrity of Financial Statement's General Ledger accounts related to Operating Expenses for all Lexmark entities within the scope of the team. Promotes worldwide alignment on processes and reporting.
Drive Continuous Improvement in the team through improving metrics and finding ways to make the company more productive and cost effective. Provides effective methods in its business operations along with improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
The role will require financial, project and people management skills in accordance with company policies and procedures for optimum performance and guides employee career development.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

2.Institute rules - manage employees in accordance with company rules and procedures. Establishes departmental rules and procedures and creates work schedules that ensure achievement of departmental key objectives.
3.Performance management - executes performance management process in accordance with Lexmark and department policies. Develops organizational capability looking at structure and competency of staff.
4.Operational effectiveness - manages day to day operations to ensure quality output up to the standards of the company. Plans, manages and maintains systems and procedures for operating effectively and with efficiency. Ensures the integrity of General Ledger accounts related to Cash, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable through:
a.compliance to Global Policies and Procedures, and Corporate Accounting Policies
b.adherence to internal control procedures
c.conduct of balance sheet reconciliation reviews
d.conduct of regular team meetings and huddles
5.Problem Solving - comprehends and carries out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Systematically resolves open issues, determines the root causes of business concerns and provides proposals on how to address the concern on a timely and effective manner. Correlates inter-related business drivers from various aspects of the balance sheet and its corresponding profit & loss impact.
6.Organizational leadership - conducts continual analysis and evaluation of strategic information. Plays a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
7.Communication - facilitates internal and interdepartmental communication. Provides meaningful reporting to senior management in a timely and effective manner.
8.Financial management - manages department's budget according to established budget controls.
9.Recruiter - responsible for hiring, training and coaching employees.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Experience Requirement:
External/Internal Accounting Supervisory &/or Managerial experience within a Shared Service environment
Preferable - Project Management skills
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy / Management
Preferable - CPA License, Masters
