Direct and manage the aspects of the assigned business unit or work stream to deliver a high level of customer service and achieve cost effective outcomes
Primary Responsibilities
Implement and maintain management strategies and objectives of the business unit
Develop and implement long term plans
Translate business strategy into operational objectives for specific line of business
Establish and implement business unit policies and procedures to enhance shared services transactions assigned to the operating function
Ensure individual and team compliance to industry and Company guidelines and policies
Maintain a good internal stakeholder relationship
Lead the team to respond to critical issues and exceptions appropriately
Manage stakeholders in line of business unit
Increase GSSC's credibility within the QBE community through participation in committees, task forces and events
Implement assigned operating function's program policies and procedures
Serve as the secondary thought leadership resource for internal customers of the operating unit for all matters related to operational excellence
Work with stakeholders to maximize opportunities, minimize expenses and achieve operational and service targets
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
7 years relevant experience

Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong people management skills
Effective planning skills and time management
High level problem solving skills
Adept at developing and implementing performance metrics /
Strategically skilled
Budgeting Management
Preferred Experience
7 or more years of shared services or BPO experience within the assigned function, including a strong mix of leadership, change management, analytic, and outsourcing technical experience
Significant experience in managing large teams and complex/diverse accounts
Tertiary education required
Preferred Knowledge
Working knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance business
Substantial shared services technical knowledge and skills
Comprehensive knowledge of performance metrics utilization
