Job Description
Overview
The focus of Operational Engineering Manager (Test Manager) primarily to manage a group of engineers and technicians to verify the design requirement in most safe manner. This role required to manage the people resource, capability, and lab capacity to deliver project needs to understand the risk and issues within the product. The candidate must be able to engage effectively with key leaders and their reports, inspirational drive the changes and demonstrate positive impact through the execution and implementation of good strategy.
Responsibility
Ensure people safety as top priority in any circumstances while effectively delivering the business needs.
Explore right tools and method to improve our utilization rate of test facility.
Keep monitor and deliver all the Key Performance Indicator within the team.
Cultivate continuous improvement as part of culture and influence team leaders to keep improve the way we deliver our task.
Cultivate safety culture within the team and keep high awareness on safe operations.
Emphasize 5s culture to ensure the efficiency and safety of people.
Educate lean tools to all levels of the organization (Kaizen, 5s and etc)
Identify opportunity to improve overall operational effectiveness.
Control equipment, consumables or indirect material for testing and samples movement inventory to maintain the traceability.
Able to coach and guide a group people to keep improve positive working culture.
Keep inspire people with positive and impactful changes to increase team effectiveness.
Manage operational budget within the target and identify area of investment to improve our effectiveness and quality of output.
Qualifications
Bachelor Engineering Degree with 5 years of lab management experience. Applicant with MBA encouraged.
Mature, confident, and comfortable in dealing with a variety of contacts at all levels.
Good background on Six Sigma Methodology and Lean Manufacturing.
Self-starter
Outstanding presentation skills
Able to travel if required.
Good people management skills
