Position details
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Work from home
Scheduling:
Shift 1 Required to teach 5 lessons daily (Monday to Sunday) in the peak teaching hours of 22H30 - 01H40 (Beijing time zone).
Shift 2 - Wednesday and Friday Peak hour of 00H30 - 01H40 (Beijing time zone)
Shift 3 - Sunday Peak hour 23H10 - 00H20
Lessons are 30 minutes long and are focused on teaching a group of students in each lesson or 1 on 1 lessons
Students: You will teach students in the age range of 3 - 15 years.
Training: Training and ongoing professional development throughout the contract.
Remuneration: Set base rate of $3.5 USD per hour with additional performance bonuses.
You will be contracted by The Really Great Teacher Company as an Independent Service Provider
Deliver excellent English language lessons and guidance to students across the globe, while maintaining a fun and engaging classroom environment.
What is needed?
Minimum requirements:
Bachelors Degree
Accredited TEFL, TESOL, TEYL
Professional fluency in English and great command of the language
Highly computer literate
No criminal record
Great communication skills
Excellent timekeeping and punctuality
Able to work shifts
Be willing to work shifts on weekends
A quiet, clean, tidy, and well-lit teaching environment
All hardware and technical requirements as detailed below
Advantageous:
Teaching experience strongly preferred, particularly online English teaching
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
PC specifications
Processor: Intel ® CoreTM i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or greater
Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
Backup power
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching) If you are located in an area where power outages are a regular occurrence
A stable fibre internet connection
At a minimum of 10 Mbps upload and download speeds
PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection
Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera. Back-up headset highly recommended
Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
