We are now looking for an Accounting Tech Stack Support Executive to join the growing team in the Phillipines and support our Australian team.
The Accounting Tech Stack Support Executive is responsible for supporting and assisting the Australian Accounting and Tax team and reports to Australia's Accounting and Tax Manager.
You will support the team and clients on technical matters arising on the accounting software, and help develop stronger processes to improve the department productivity and work quality.
You will also tasked to maintain the day-to-day operations of software and workflows of the Accounting team, enter data, clean up records, and assist in the preparation of internal reports for the company's management.
Other responsibilities:
Manage and monitor day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth accounting onboarding workflow for the clients
Provide technical support and advice on Accounting software (Xero, Receipt Bank...) and processes, both internally to Accounting team and externally to clients
Provide assistance in setting up Accounting software for clients' specific set ups
Maintain data quality across all platforms used by the Accounting team
Manage daily the Accounting team mailbox to ensure seamless allocations of all incoming requests
Work with internal stakeholders and third-party consultants to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Accounting and Tax teams.
Document these SOPs into operating guidelines manuals for the accounting team
Prepare articles on using our tools for our clients' knowledge base
Spot gaps and shortfalls and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Provide input into department's goal setting process
Ensure compliance of processes and documents with GAAP principles
Liaise with our Account Managers and Tax Manager to improve financial procedures
Other ad-hoc accounting related duties
Requirements:
0-5 years relevant work experience - might be suitable for fresh Grad who is not currently looking for an accountant role
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant- A MUST!
Strong command in Xero or similar software (Quickbooks, MYOB)
Digital savvy and keen on exploring innovative digital solutions
Good knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Good communication skills in English
Able to work independently on designated targets
Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) preferred but not required
