Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statement and core values of the company.
Extends administrative and clerical support as well as staff assistance such as data collection and collation and provision of logistical support on projects and activities being undertaken by the office (Note: this function may be supported by a specific task list particular to the work area to which incumbent is assigned).
Drafts, encodes/types correspondence and other assigned materials; prepares documentation related to transactions of the work unit.
Receives visitors, responds to basic inquiries, or refers them to appropriate officers and employees.
Coordinates appointments and schedules of the superior; prepares materials that may be required by the superior for such appointments and engagements.
Prepares logistical arrangements such as venue, schedule and materials needed for meetings initiated by the superior. distributes copies of the minutes to those requiring information as contained therein or those affected by decisions arrived at during such meetings.
Places and answers telephone calls; relays messages received on the telephone to persons concerned.
Receives and records incoming communication and documents; dispatches outgoing communication and documents.
Acts as document custodian and controller in the department; undertakes receipt and distribution of documents related to departmental operations.
Files documents and records according to established classifications; keeps updated files with particular emphasis on the maintenance of confidentiality of classified information.
Maintains office supplies and consumable materials and prepares requisition forms for the replenishment of such.
Serves as the administrative coordinator for the department; provides liaison, coordination, and follow-up with other work units as directed by the superior.
Operates standard office machines related to communication such as the facsimile and reproduction machines.
Assists in ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the work area.
Performs such other duties and responsibilities related to and/or implied from the above enumeration.
