WHO WE ARE:
Silliman University Medical Center Foundation, Inc. (SUMCFI) is a 300-bed facility located at the Silliman University campus in Dumaguete City, Philippines. It started as an infirmary in 1901 which later on evolved to be the Silliman Mission Hospital and was renamed as SUMC sometime in the 1960s.
In 1999, the Board of Trustees of Silliman University decided to spin-off the Hospital as a separate entity to give it more autonomy and flexibility in the running of its affairs. The new entity, the SUMC FOUNDATION, INC., is governed by a seven-person board with the Chair of the Board of Trustees and President of Silliman University sitting as ex-officio members. Today it serves both the university and the surrounding community.
NURSE EXTERN (NURSE EXTERNSHIP TRAINING – NET)
Externs/Trainees needed: (24) twenty-four
JOB ROLE SUMMARY:
Responsible for initiating and performing nursing care activities to meet the needs of the patient within the scope of nursing practice. Also responsible for assisting the Head Nurse in achieving and realizing the objectives and goals of the department.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
3 months to 1 year or more of related experience is an ADVANTAGE
Fresh Graduates are highly encouraged to apply
Must be a REGISTERED NURSE (with an active PRC License)
Amenable to train and later work in a hospital-setting
