NODEJS - BACKEND ENGINEER (SENIOR)

Your Responsibilities
Build high quality, fault tolerant systems and products, owning all areas of implementation, frontend, backend, CI pipeline, automated test suites and operations
Work with your product owner and business stakeholders to define the product and tech roadmaps.
Engage with the wider engineering organization, making sure your tech roadmap aligns with the other teams.
Designing and developing robust and scalable server-side applications using Node.js.
Writing reusable, efficient, and maintainable code.
Implementing and maintaining APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Troubleshooting and debugging production issues to ensure smooth operations.
Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in Node.js development.
Minimum Requirements
3-5 years experience as a Node.js Developer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with ES6+ syntax.
In-depth knowledge of Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, Koa.js, or Hapi.js.
Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
Proficient in using databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Knowledge of server-side templating languages (e.g., EJS, Pug) and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest) and writing unit tests.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
