The role will report to the Supervisor - Mining (Mine Services).Key tasks and responsibilities:
Performs assigned general mine duties according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
Maintain availability of Jumbo consumables in Underground storage Areas/laydown areas(wire mesh, rock bolts, resins, split sets and plate);
Conducts regular housekeeping in Underground laydown/storage yards;
Assist Jumbo Operator in installation of ground support, loading split sets, resins, gewi bolts,eye bolts ,rigging and de-rigging of Jumbo Drill;
Ensure daily drill bits and any other consumables are brought to the surface end of shift and exchanged daily new for old;
Maintain Underground signs and barricades and trailing cables Standards during Jumbo Operation; and
Assists and performs other reasonable tasks required by the Jumbo Operator, Shift Supervisor, Supervisors and Underground Mine Trainers.
Qualifications
Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way;
At least high school graduate;
With a Surface Light Vehicle Authorization (SLDVP);
Must be physically fit;
Completed Underground Mine Basic Training;
Ability to deal with different attitudes and behaviors of other employees;
With good communication skills; and
Drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
