Assist in digitizing American historical collection by writing and sending out grant proposals to the US Library of Congress, US heritage foundations, Fil-Am heritage organizations, the USAID, and other related organizations
Compose and edit grant proposals, ensuring that these align with the noble goal of digitizing American historical collection
Identify prospects from both public and private entities, as well as propose recommendations to the Management
Maintain a calendar for grants by managing timeline for timely submission of grant proposals
Generate grant reports and progress timelines accordingly
Maintain files with utmost confidentiality and keeping an organized record
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a graduate of any courses related to journalism, English language or Linguistics
Must be well-versed in using the following platforms: G Suite, Google Spreadsheet formulas, Asana, Slack, Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10 Pro, Chrome OS
Must have previous experience on writing grants for various funding streams, as well as the government contracting processes
Passion for writing for nonprofit and grant fund development
Ability to adopt a writing voice intended for target audiences such as donors, foundations, and other stakeholders
Excellent proofreading skills, attention to detail, and record-keeping skills
Comfortable with working in a startup environment
