The Network and Systems Engineer is part of the IT Support Services. Maintain awareness of applicable network exploitation policies, regulations and compliance documents. Analyze networks, packet information, OS system data, executable file data, host data, and metadata to identify anomalies on company networks. Provide reporting on activities and assist in development and optimization of new and existing tools and techniques to enhance analytic capabilities. * Provides continuity by providing day‐to-day operational support to Clients Network equipment.
Ensures the operational integrity and continuity of the network facilities, implementation of network service objectives supporting reliability, responsiveness, clear and complete documentation, and use of the most current software and hardware.
Networking requirements are met with the highest level of performance and reliability by assisting the account's networking team in managing networking maintenance of hardware and software component of account's clients' networks.
Maintains and manages IP addresses, DHCP servers, domain name services (DNS), Radius and other servers and software systems
Maintains the integrity of the network by installing, upgrading, and maintaining network routers, switches, wireless, IDS/IPS, MCUs, Gatekeepers, traffic shaping, VPN, firewalls, and other devices at current operating system levels as provided by the manufacturer, working with vendors to diagnose and resolve network problems, operating and configuring protocol analyzers to diagnose problems, analyzing captured data using network protocols to determine problems, and using network monitoring software with SNMP and/or RMON to detect network conditions requiring corrective action to performance tuning.
Provides support to the VPN pools by updating software and firmware as needed. Supervising VPN User Support.
Assists with the integration, maintenance, and problem resolution of network services and wiring infrastructures, User Support entities, vendors, and end-users.
Ensures accurate records are kept of network components, maintenance activities, network connections, accounts, and inventory by maintaining appropriate databases and web interfaces.
Programs network applications as needed such as web, network monitoring, bandwidth utilization, general data collection, reporting, and automated response to abnormal or undesirable network conditions.
Help to ensure the availability of resources by assisting with disaster prevention and recovery efforts caused by events like power outages, hardware failures, etc.
Maintains confidentiality in regard to information processed, stored, or accessed by the networks.
Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
