Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop solutions from high level business requirements using best practice and coding standards
Collaborate with other areas of the business in developing and testing enhancements, bug fixes and new features
Participate in code reviews
Qualifications and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
Hands-on development skills in both ASP.NET Webforms and the MVC framework using C#
Experience with ASP.NET Core
Experience and solid understanding of common design patterns: (separation of concern, n-tier, MVC, Singleton, Factory, Dependency Injection, Object-Oriented Programming)
Knowledgeable of web standards, technologies and best practices
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery
WCF, WebAPI, RESTful and SOAP web services
Database design and performance optimisation skills:
SQL Server 2014+
Stored Procedures, triggers, functions, etc.
Experience with one or more ORM systems: nHibernate, Castle Active Records, Entity Framework, etc.
Experience in Agile development: Unit testing, pair programming and code reviews
Experience with one or more source control systems: TFS, GIT, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills:
Experience or exposure to major financial and/or document management systems: SharePoint, SAP, etc.
Experience in Software Configuration Management / Deployment: Nant, MSBuild, WIX; batch, VBS and PowerShell scripts
Experience with reporting packages: Crystal reports, SSRS
Load testing, performance analysis and tuning
