An innovative shipbuilding company is looking for a talented and motivated Naval Architect to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time role, Monday to Saturday.
This is a factory-based position in Arpili, Balamban, Cebu, the shipbuilding capital of the Philippines. However, flexible is welcome and negotiable.
The expected start date is in December of 2025.
ABOUT THE ROLE
 
The Naval Architect is responsible for the naval architecture and structural calculations and design for the assigned ferry/ ship design project.
 
The Naval Architect should be able to perform the design and calculations with minimal supervision to meet technical specification requirement and be fit for purpose. This above is to meet the project schedule and allocate design budget.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the naval architecture and structural calculations, design, drawings and reports for deliverable of relevant structure deliverables for the assigned design project.
Provide technical support to the fabrication and supply chain.
Supervise structural design and fabrication personnel as required.
Coordinate with production, project and supply chain staff.
REQUIREMENTS
 
Essential:
Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering with valid license.
Has 3-5 years relevant work experience in ship design/ shipbuilding.
Strong technical skills and the ability to problem solve.
Experienced with AutoCAD, Maxsurf, and finite element analysis (preferably STRAND) 
Desirable:
Licensed Philippine Naval Architect and Marine Engineer.
FRP shipbuilding experience is a plus.
Familiarity with 3D SHIP CAD software (SHIPCON).
Has supervisory experience with teams.
Other 3D model software.
