As a Finance Associate,
You will primarily focus on bookkeeping tasks and provide essential administrative support. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, assisting with financial transactions, and supporting the overall finance and administrative functions of the company.
Some of the things we'd expect you to do are to...
Enter supplier invoices, and identify and report any unusual activity
Manage AP ledger
Maintain relationships with suppliers
Enter client invoices for all entities
Manage AR ledger and liaise with a relevant team member
BAS / IAS reconciliations
Bank reconciliation
Credit card/expense account reconciliation
Superannuation, Workcover, payroll tax reconciliations quarterly
GST reconciliation quarterly
PAYG and Tax instalment calculations
FBT reconciliations as required
Produce month-end reports each month by the deadline date
Group payroll
General Admin work
Ability to chase up incomplete information ie. from the AU team as well as suppliers. e.g. invoice without full banking details etc., the same sort of requirement for both roles e.g. supplier with unclear contract
Contract Loading
Data Entry tasks as necessary
Monitor the cash flow of the company
Provide data for budgets and forecasts as required
Provide data to third-party accountants for year-end
Monitor and report to GM Finance on the financial position of the entities
Streamline processes and procedures
Assist with filing of documentation and maintenance of software
We would need you to be or have the following...
🎓 Minimum of Certificate IV in Bookkeeping / Finance / Accounting.
1-2 years experience in a bookkeeping role.
Adept at Excel.
MYOB Experience preferred
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Strong written and verbal understanding of English
The ability to develop relationships and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
A strong commitment and desire to achieve results, be diligent have strong attention to detail
