This is a fantastic chance for an experienced Mid-Level Accountant to join a devoted team of professionals in delivering accounting and bookkeeping services to small but developing businesses at a reasonable price.

Founded in 2017, our client is an accounting firm specializing in helping Canadian entrepreneurs keep more of their money by implementing legal tax strategies.
Their services are for small businesses looking to reduce costs, streamline operations, and get the most value out of their accounting spending.
Their clients often are:
- Unsure whether their in-house bookkeeper or accountant is being fully utilized.
- Paying for unused services.
- Not getting support when they need it.
- Spending too much time working on administrative tasks instead of on their business.
Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
The accountant's primary tasks will be bookkeeping and basic accounting. This person will eventually oversee a small bookkeeping staff that will be developed in the Philippines over time. However, at first, the individual will be the single contributor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
What we need them to do:
File Preparation and review
Monthly Bookkeeping in Xero.
Annual Bookkeeping in Xero.
Prepare Xero Working Papers for Corporate Year Ends.
Prepare GST/PST Calculations.
Provide feedback on improving production processes and output.
Get the job done quickly.
Knowledge
Accounting System Design (for new clients).
Create new Xero accounts.
Conversions to Xero.
From QBO or other software.
Financial statements preparation.
Able to work fast with minimal supervision.
Expert level knowledge of Xero.
Must-have Skills / Qualification:
Minimum 5+ years in public practice.
Minimum 3+ years of full cycle accounting.
Experience managing team members is advantageous.
Prior experience with Public Practice, BPO/Foreign, Australian, and Canadian based accounting is required.
Should have 2 years of working experience with Xero.
Training, mentoring, and supervising junior/intermediate accountants.
Acute attention to detail with proven ability to multitask.

Emp type: Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm Pacific Time (1am to 9am Philippine Time)
