Microsoft SQL Developer (Mid-Level)
● Design and develop T-SQL DDL & DML objects, procedures
● Develop underlying data models and databases
● Develop, manage and maintain data dictionary and/or metadata
● It is desirable to be able to perform and execute data extraction, transformation and loading using ETL tools (SSIS/SSDT)
● Resolve and troubleshoot complex issues
Requirements
Skills & experiences:
● Strong working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 to 2014
● Ensure compliance of standards and conventions in developing programs
● Strong written, verbal, and graphical communications skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively
● Translate business requirements into software applications and models
● Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
Key Technical Competencies
● Good T-SQL coding skills using advanced techniques
● Database schema creation and management
● Metadata management and repository usage
● Upgrade and remediate existing MS SQL databases
● Good T-SQL coding skills using advanced techniques
● Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
● Take full ownership of assigned tasks and show commitment to deliver on time
● Ability to work both independently and with minimal guidance, as well as with a team
Proactively take up additional responsibilities as required by management
Desirable
● Experience in ETL, Reporting, DW and performance tuning
● Workflow software, WWF or similar
● Knowledge of mortgage industry
● Experience 4+ years
