Preferably fresh graduates Good communication skills Knowledgeable in MS Office programs Ability to work effectively in a team as well as unsupervised Demonstrates ability & desire to engage and maintain working relationships with sponsors, business stakeholders and engineering community Attention to detail, accuracy, a questioning attitude and analytical skill Adaptability to change, particularly with latest technologies Demonstrates learning agility Willing to be based in IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City Amenable to work in SHIFTING SCHEDULE Can start ASAP Duties and Responsibilities Perform Static Test reviews of the Business Requirements/Functional Specification documents and actively participate in requirements discussion in preparation for translating requirements or user stories to test cases. Design test, applying different testing techniques. Document test scenarios, test conditions and test cases according to the testing level with the right level of details. Develop test data requirements in the corresponding environment. Execute test and validate test results (expected vs actual results and perform initial investigation). If discrepancies found, properly document defect in the agreed defect management tool/repository with right amount of details - step-by-step instructions, actual result with screenshot, test stage found, linked requirements and test cases, etc. Work with the development team in prioritizing and resolving the issue and perform retest of work after correction has been made on the program. Raise risks and issues on a timely manner.Collaborate closely within the team and with the stakeholders to drive testability in solution design and promote best test engineering practices in the development process Establish traceability and coverage through effective mapping of test cases & scripts to the requirement / user story. Advise and apply best test engineering practice, and supporting tools and technologies to specific features and projects Build understanding of TDD and BDD approach and apply throughout testing. Plan and schedules test phases for projects as detailed within the Test Strategy. Develop Phase level Test Plans, as detailed within the Test Strategy. Define test environment requirements. Prepare test progress and test completion reports.
