Job Summary:
The Microfinance In-Charge is primarily responsible in overseeing the establishment and pilot operation of the Microfinance NGO of Good Neighbors International Philippines. He/she will be based in GNIP Head Office in Quezon City with extensive travels to the Community Development Projects. This position shall spearhead in designing, planning, and implementing the most appropriate Microfinance intervention models based on the local context and needs of the target communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working in close collaboration with the Income Generation Department, the Microfinance In-Charge shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
• Assist the organization and its decision makers in making sound decisions in the requisites of Microfinance.
• Lead in the establishment and development of a Microfinance entity as a wholly owned subsidiary of GNIP thru the conduct of Feasibility Studies, Business Planning and other Business incubation processes including financial projections and acquisition of legal status or registration.
• Formulate financial products and related services for pioneering experience to pilot communities.
• Spearhead Microfinance Start-up Operations and Development in Pilot Areas of GNIP.
• Provide technical inputs and guidance to account officers required for the implementation of products, services, and activities.
• Takes the lead in the monitoring and evaluation of branch operation, performance, services and ensures that systems are in place.
• Takes the lead in the effectively implementation of Social Performance Management (SPM) System through information campaigns, compliance monitoring and adherence to organization’s advocacy and mission as translated into action.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor (like proposal development as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Required to be a Graduate of Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking and Finance and other related courses
• Must have a heart and strong passion for the poor.
• The Microfinance In-Charge should have experience in technical skills desirable in areas relating to business, financial planning, business design and start-up, microfinance operations and operational management.
• Has at least 3-5 years-experience working in a Financial Company (e.g. Microfinance NGO)
• Has working knowledge on Microfinance Operation
• Has good communication skills both in writing and speaking
• With experience in Financial forecasting and reporting
• Knowledge in computer (MS word, excel and power point) is a must
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Filipino, including ability to present coherent and convincing analyses to different audiences
