MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY ANALYST
JOB PURPOSE
Tests all microbiological criteria set for each stage of product handling to ensure that risks are properly controlled or reduced to an acceptable level.
Assists Laboratory Supervisor in ensuring compliance to process control procedures, sanitation standards, food safety requirements and applicable regulations on occupational safety and health and environment.
Location: Del Monte Phils. Inc-Plantation (Bukidnon)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
BS Microbiology/ BS Agriculture (Plant Pathology)/ BS Food Technology/ BS Chemistry (with or without PRC license)
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
QMS, ISO or HACCP background
Quality Assurance
At least 6 months experience in laboratory operations
Other Requirements:
Good communication and decision-making skills.
Advance knowledge in MS Office Applications especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Can operate Statistical Analysis software.
Basic knowledge on Good Laboratory Practices, ISO 17025 and Codex Alimentarius Standards for Microbiological Laboratories.
Adequate knowledge on aseptic techniques, media and culture preparation, total plate count, pure culture isolation, taxonomic classification of microorganisms and various pathogen testing methods for food and agricultural products.
