MICRO LABORATORY ANALYST
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Performs microbiological analysis of all in-coming, in-process and out-going products following established standards and procedures for Total Plate Count, Yeast & Mold, E.coli, Salmonella, Listeria, S. aureus, Mesophillic and Thermophilic Spore count etc..
Prepares and submits reports to the Micro Lab Supervisor
Conducts swab tests of identified critical areas of the process line to monitor conformance to the company's Food Safety plan.
Conducts sampling and performs microbiological test on all identified water sources.
Prepares and issues Corrective/Preventive Action Report (CPAR) for all out of spec products or samples.
Coordinates with production on matters relating to samples for testing, re-testing any or immediate hygiene concerns that affects product safety.
Evaluates trends in weekly microbiological results and informs the Micro Lab Supervisor when an upward trend is observed.
Ensure to prepare water samples for the annual verification in a designated outside laboratory.
Ensure to undergo annual Proficiency test through FAPAS (Europe) and an annual rings test done together with a local accredited laboratory.
Performs other customer- requested none routine microbiological tests following written standard procedures.
Decides on a pass/fail status of tested products and ensures that retests or resample is immediately conducted after a questionable result is obtained.
Monitors the micro lab supplies or equipment and prepares Purchase requisitions for needed items or equipment.
Ensures the hygienic status of the micro lab before start of daily work routine.
Performs colorimetric testing for residual alcohol of sterilized products.
Perform other job-related duties required or assigned and not limited to the job description without overlapping with other duties.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  
Medical Technologist/Biologist/Pharmacist
Experience in actual laboratory works
