Final Test Equipment Engineering Manager
I.Basic Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the supervision and management of the Equipment and Process Engineer Section.
II.Reporting Relationship
The position reports to the Equipment Engineering Department Manager or Director.
III.Major Duties and Responsibilities
.Lead and responsible to achieve equipment performance such as Equipment Utilization (OEE), Unscheduled downtime, Scheduled downtime, Equipment PPJ, Equipment MTBA, and collaborate with relevant groups to meet business plan.
.Develop metrics to clarify deliverables
.Qualify and proliferate new products to ensure supply chain continuity.
.Provide visibility to test data and drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency.
.Responsible for equipment transfer, install, setup, buyoff, and release to support manufacturing start up
.Implement Preventive/Predictive maintenance program
.Develop equipment maintenance specification
.Define and sustain spare inventory system for key equipment, monitor spare cost and drive down liabilities of spare inventories, accountable for Spare part/Tooling/meter management
.Identify the key cost drivers and work on cost reduction programs
.Define, develop, and maintain equipment capabilities, strategy and roadmap
.Maintaining a matrix on equipment capabilities and constraints
.Align internal strategies and communicate line of sight to corporate strategic objectives
.Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions
.Communicate capabilities to ensure stakeholder expectations are met
.Provide functional area expertise to customers and other stakeholders
.Coordinate functional services with peer group and internal global partners
.Manage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
.Initiate and sustain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
.Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment
.Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies
.Communicate requirements to applicable team members and external stakeholders
.Oversee execution of mandatory training for direct reports
.Identify and resolve and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues
.Development and implementation of improvement projects and technical innovations to achieve goals for OEE, equipment stability, flexibility, conversion time reduction, quality, and cost.
.Support all Business Unit and Manufacturing requirements related to new business, and maintenance processes including the support for equipment board repairs.
.Mentor and develop Equipment Engineers/Section Heads, giving them the necessary knowledge and skills, to allow continued career growth.
.Preventive Maintenance Technicians and Equipment Engineers competency building / skills up programs.
.Provide reports for management consumption.
.Perform other functions as may be needed to support manufacturing requirement
Qualifications
.
10-15 years working in semiconductor manufacturing with at least more than 2 years in managerial role or equivalent experience
.Familiar with lean manufacturing, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC concepts and with IATF 16949 requirements experience preferred
.Good understanding of component test/ equipment/ programing is preferred.
.Effective & Strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills
.Strong communication and presentation skills
.Proven ability to manage team performance and people development.
.Highly motivated and outcome oriented.
.Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical or with 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment development, manufacturing, and servicing.
.Experience in integrating and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and optical complex systems.
.Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for reporting complex technical systems related issues, procedure writing and training of others.
.Computer skills - MS Office competency
.Working knowledge of semiconductor Final Test process and equipment operation.
