Metallurgical Engineer
Melters Steel Corporation (MSC) a steel manufacturing firm is looking for a company Metallurgist to join the fast growing team.
Job Description:
Oversee the QA/QC department and ensure the company standards are strictly followed
Ensures that raw materials and production output meet the standards of quality inside the plant - including document control.
Measures and sets quality standards in the plant.
Analyze the metal composition of the steel products and recommends quality improvement initiatives in the company.
Develop and implement metrics and methods to improve billet products
Assess the physical structure and nature of steel billets and produce correlating reports and research documentation
Control the shaping of billets through various procedures, including casting, rolling, forging and drawing
Look through designs and drawings, and interpret them appropriately to make sound and well-placed recommendations
Monitor quality standards in the production, and provide insight on required improvements
Test the rhomboids output to determine the causes and design correlating processes to avoid its repetitive occurrences.
Monitor the behavior of metal products under stress and create and submit reports on them
Investigate accidents that may be caused due to metallurgical failure, and provide appropriate and timely reporting
Design metal equipment and control processes if necessary to augment the production output.
Conducts orientation on quality standards to employees.
Monitors pollution control in the plant and implements pollution control measures.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Graduate of B.S. Metallurgical Engineering
Licensed Metallurgist is required
Must have good understanding about the plant process
Knowledgeable in MS Office
Proficiency in English, Filipino languages. Knowledge in Mandarin language is a plus.
