Poplar Homes is looking for a Mergers & Acquisitions Financial Analyst to add to our growing finance team. You will be an integral part of the new property management firm acquisition growth of the Company. The Analyst will support the financial analysis of new partnerships, including pre-closing financial projects, third-party quality of earnings analysis, and post-close analysis, ensuring a thorough and detailed review and understanding of the financial profile and projected performance of new partnerships.
How you'll make an impact:
Assist with managing and assessing the final work product from Poplar Homes third-party transaction advisory firm(s)
Evaluate the financial impact of synergies expected to be realized following acquisition
Build detailed financial models to inform key stakeholders of possible outcomes in financial performance during the first year of Poplar Homes ownership
Participate in the due diligence and underwriting processes to ensure a thorough understanding of the target's existing business
Effectively generate and communicate financial analysis in efficient and timely manner
Support Poplar Homes broader finance team to ensure smooth financial integrations of target property management firms
Work closely with the operations team to assist in financial projects and execute operational improvement initiatives
Assist and participate in cross functional teams and projects to ensure sufficient levels of return
Provide leadership toward additional value-added activities and support operational and departmental excellence
Constantly evaluate current procedures and recommend changes to improve efficiency
Talents you'll bring to Poplar Homes:
Minimum of 3+ years of professional work experience in M&A/Finance/Accounting/businessvaluation
BA/BS degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration in either Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Ability to understand and analyze financial statements
Strong Microsoft Excel experience; Salesforce experience a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an outgoing and highly motivated personality
Ability to work in autonomous, fast moving environment
Ability to analyze and problem solve strategically
