Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall visual appeal and organization of our store. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and well-stocked display area, receiving deliveries, managing inventory, preparing fresh products, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that the display area is clean, organized, and visually appealing to attract customers.
Stock and replenish merchandise according to established guidelines to ensure availability and presentable appearance.
Price products accurately and ensure that all items are properly labeled.
Receive deliveries, verify the contents against purchase orders, and report any discrepancies or damages.
Maintain an accurate inventory report of goods and supplies, including monitoring stock levels and conducting regular stock counts.
Prepare fresh fruits and other perishable products into ready-to-eat items, following hygiene and safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers, answering queries, and ensuring their needs are met.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify trends, customer preferences, and promotional opportunities.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and product assortment to make recommendations for improvement.
Assist in implementing promotional displays and signage to enhance product visibility.
Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
 
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Basic math skills for inventory management and pricing.
Knowledge of proper handling and preparation of fresh products is a plus.
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, or evenings, as required.
