This role involves ensuring compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and Bureau Veritas' quality and safety guidelines.Key Responsibilities:
Design and Engineering:
Develop comprehensive MEPF system designs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing.
Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Coordinate with architectural and structural engineers to ensure seamless integration of MEPF systems.
Construction Oversight:
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEPF systems.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
Quality Assurance and Control:
Implement quality control procedures to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the quality of materials, workmanship, and system performance.
Identify and resolve quality issues promptly and efficiently.
Safety and Compliance:
Prioritize safety on construction sites, enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire codes, and other relevant regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Cost Control:
Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and review cost estimates and budget forecasts.
Manage change orders and variations to the contract.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical documents, and project status reports.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Participate in project meetings and presentations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering from a recognized institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) license, or eligibility to obtain one.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in MEPF engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of local building codes, fire codes, and industry standards.
Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Additional Considerations:
Experience in high-rise building construction and complex infrastructure projects is preferred.
Familiarity with Bureau Veritas' quality management systems and procedures is advantageous.
A strong understanding of sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems is desirable.
