Job Overview:

Roles and Responsibilities:
Remote Desktop Operations:
Connect remotely to the desktop in the USA for seamless access to EMR.
Utilize remote desktop tools efficiently to enter patient information, review records, and manage documentation.
Live Video Chat Engagement:
Engage in live video chat with the doctor and healthcare team in the USA.
Use live video streaming to both hear and see the ongoing examination in the USA.
Documentation and Data Entry:
Listen and enter accurate information into the EMR during live patient encounters.
Upload scanned documents into the EMR system.
Electronically send prescriptions through the EMR.
Record the patient history as dictated by the practitioner, encompassing the history of the current illness, examination of systems, past medical and surgical background, family and social histories, as well as details regarding medications and allergies.
Ensures that the practitioner thoroughly reviews all documentation completed by the Scribe at the conclusion of the patient encounter, making any required amendments and signing the chart.
Updating the chart, Sending Prescriptions consultations and referral letters for the doctor
EMR Note Management:
Review, clarify, and update EMR notes in real-time.
Collaborate with the ophthalmologist to ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation.
Interactive Patient Communication:
Interact with patients through live video chat to clarify information such as pharmacy details or fax preferences.
Address patient queries and provide support as needed.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
Collaborate with the ophthalmologist and other healthcare professionals during patient examinations.
Facilitate communication and information flow between the remote and on-site teams.
Simultaneous Access:
Manage simultaneous access to both remote desktop and live video streaming tools.
Interact with the doctor, healthcare team, and patients seamlessly through these platforms.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Certified Medical Scribe designation is a plus.
Someone with an interest in ophthalmology.
Experience:
Familiarity with medical scribing a bonus but not required, preferably in ophthalmology.
Familiarity with virtual scribing tools and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to navigate the EMR.
Woring in a healthcare setting, virtually
Skills:
Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
Excellent typing skills with a minimum of 50WPM.
Some assignments would require 80WPM.
Experience in scribing tools is a plus.
Ability to engage with patients, healthcare professionals, and the remote team.
Communication:
Exceptional and flawless verbal and written communication skills.
Neutral English accent is preferred..
Technology Proficiency:
Experience with remote desktop tools and live video streaming platforms.
Adaptability to changes in technology and workflow processes.
Willingness to learn new software to use.
A suitable work-from-home space and set-up
Minimum of 20 mbps download and 10 mbps upload.
Must have a backup computer and power source.
Must have a designated area in your home where you can work comfortably and with no distractions.
Good noise canceling headset or if not use Krisp as an alternative.
Back-up internet sources like prepaid wi-fi or pocket wi-fi.
