Background:
Performs administrative duties for doctors, screening calls, managing calendars, lab results, and helping to answer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
Making outbound calls for appointment reminders. Relaying messages from the doctor and staff to the patient.
Make calls to Doctor's office to request for a patient's medical records
Document management. Managing the fax inbox and outbox.
Assisting with financial reporting. Updating prices on Excel.
Creating/updating word documents and pdf forms.
Escalate to other departments as needed
Reconciling and organizing invoices.
Upload and update records in CRM
Verifying insurance benefits
Answer inquiries
Requirements:
A minimum of 1-2 years in a BPO setting or equivalent as a nurse or in the medical field
Prior experience as a Customer Service Representative is helpful
Familiarity with ICD 10 or CPT code or background in medical billing is a plus but not required.
Ability to learn new software (our EMR and communications platform)
Detail-oriented and a high level of accuracy in work product
Excellent English language skills (written and speaking)
Good time management and task management skills
Noticeable organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently and meticulously
Prior background in a Medical related job
Proficiency in MS Office Google Suite
Familiar with medical terminology
Able to demonstrate Initiative
Microsoft Word and Excel
Good call handling skills
Attention to detail
