MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST
(Toledo, Cebu based)
 
As a Medical Technologist at Life and Health Toledo Laboratory, you will play a crucial role in the accurate and efficient performance of laboratory tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
Laboratory Testing:
Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Following established protocols and procedures for specimen collection, handling, processing, and analysis.
 
Quality Control and Assurance:
Conducting quality control procedures to verify the accuracy and precision of test results.
Participating in proficiency testing programs and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Identifying and troubleshooting technical issues or deviations in test results.
 
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyzing test results and interpreting findings to provide valuable insights to healthcare providers.
Generating accurate and comprehensive reports of laboratory findings for inclusion in patient medical records.
Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure timely communication of critical results and follow-up actions.
 
Inventory Management and Maintenance:
Monitoring inventory levels of laboratory supplies and reagents and ensuring adequate stock availability.
Performing regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to uphold performance standards and safety protocols.
Keeping accurate records of tests performed, results obtained, and equipment maintenance activities.
 
Continuing Education and Professional Development:
Staying updated with advancements in medical technology, laboratory techniques, and regulatory changes.
Participating in ongoing training, seminars, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and best practices within the laboratory setting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control practices.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficient computer skills for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
PRC License is an advantage.
