MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree holder of Medical Technology; Licensed
Projects Base Contract (3 months)
Experience in the diagnostic laboratory or hospital is an advantage;
Has excellent analytical and communication skills;
Good team player and has good interpersonal skills;
Extensive knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology.
Considerable knowledge of the principles of chemistry, biology, histology, and bacteriology as related to medical technology.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities with great initiative, will-do and can-do attitude.
Assertive; confident; highly motivated and can work with minimum supervision.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
Shows maturity and has compassion for people
Meticulous attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Specimen Management
Collect and verify patient information in order to prevent analytical error.
Label samples and ensure correct information.
Responsible in the correct order of draw.
Evaluate specimen if acceptable for processing
Process specimen in an efficient, accurate and timely manner
Validate results for accuracy.
Perform routine and complex analysis of patient specimen according to standard operating procedures.
Maintain quality control of all laboratory testing to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Documentation and Record-keeping:
Interpret and prepare report of results.
Evaluate validity of specimen results against algorithms displayed by the computer system.
Responsible in releasing of test results in a timely manner to appropriate individuals
Record and maintain confidentiality of reports
Assist in development of new procedures and techniques.
