Job description
Our Lady of the Pillar Medical Center invites competent individuals to fill in the Medical Technologist position.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology
Must be a Licensed Medical Technologist
Experience/training/internship in a clinical or hospital setting is a PLUS
Job Summary:
The Medical Technologist is primarily responsible for performing complex tests on blood and body fluids to determine the cause of disease.
He /She participates in all technical and administrative matters involving the laboratory, performs laboratory works, and ensures that the department is functioning based on existing standard operating procedures.
Handles the inventory of reagents and supplies of the laboratory in the absence of the Senior Medical Technologist.
Performs microbiological analyses to process patients' specimens and derive accurate results.
Responsible for the requisition of reagents, apparatus, and office supplies as needed by the Laboratory.
Occasionally receives requests and accurately charges accounts accordingly and releases results for both Inpatients and Outpatients in the absence of the Laboratory Clerk.
