Job Description
About Us:
Hope for the Island is a charitable, religious nonprofit organization that has been serving the community of Siargao Island since 2000. We are in the process of opening Kalinga House, a children’s home that will provide care and shelter for up to 10 school-aged children who may have experienced complex trauma.
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Social Worker to join our team and help us comply with the necessary programs and documentation to ensure each child in Kalinga House receives the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
    •    Collaborate with trauma therapists and counselors to create and maintain individualized care plans for each child.
    •    Prepare weekly reports and updates on each child’s progress in collaboration with the care team.
    •    Ensure all necessary documentation is up to date and compliant with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
    •    Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to monitor the children’s overall well-being and progress.
    •    Assist with day-to-day needs, providing emotional and social support to the children.
    •    Maintain accurate records using software tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
Qualifications:
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field (Registered Social Worker preferred).
    •    Experience working with children, especially those with trauma backgrounds, is an advantage.
    •    Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists and counselors.
    •    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable with documentation software.
    •    Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willing to work in a Fath based Christian community
 
Compensation:
PHP 20,000 - PHP 25,000 per month, depending on experience.
