We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller with a strong background in Orthopedics to join our remote team. This role is responsible for accurate billing, claim submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up to ensure timely reimbursements. Experience with Athenahealth software is required.Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and submit claims for orthopedic services in compliance with payer requirements.
Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately into Athenahealth EMR.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve issues promptly.
Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and authorizations as needed.
Collaborate with providers, coders, and insurance companies to ensure clean claims.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, billing regulations, and organizational policies.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in an Orthopedic practice.
Proficiency in Athenahealth software required.
Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
Familiarity with payer requirements and healthcare insurance policies.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a permanent WFH setup.
Amenable to work during U.S. business working hours.
