We are a busy Dermatology practice with 15 providers across 4 locations, celebrating 50 years in practice. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Medical Biller with strong knowledge of Veradigm Allscripts to assist with billing, claims, appeals, and payment posting.Key Responsibilities
Billing & Claims Management: Process and submit claims through Veradigm Allscripts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Payment Posting: Handle electronic and paper remits, input payments into deposit spreadsheets, and post payments from receipt books.
Patient Billing Support: Respond to patient inquiries via billing emails, assist with credit card vendor payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
Appeals & Collections: Manage billing appeals, call patients for payments due, and assist with collections.
Clearinghouse Coordination: Work within Payer Path, ensuring claims flow correctly from Practice Fusion to Veradigm Allscripts and then to Payer Path.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in medical billing.
Strong knowledge of Veradigm Allscripts (Required).
Experience with payment posting (electronic & paper remits).
Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
English C1 level required (minimal accent); Spanish is a plus.
Experience with Practice Fusion (EHR) is a plus - training provided.
