We currently looking for a Media Buyer for a company based in Australia. He/She will be working with three main tools Excel Spreadsheets, MediaOcean and Genesis. For communications, this will be via email and Teams.
 
Skills needed:
Good at Maths, Numbers 
Enjoys working data
Pedantic
Has a good understanding Excel (Pivot tables critical)
Education:
Must be degree qualified
Bonus would be Maths, Accounting (for Pivot Tables) or Media degree.
Work Flow:
->The Account Manager works with the client to work out the metrics and overall buy. 
->The Network sends the spots that are available for the range of dates for the client advertising buy.
->The data is put into Media Ocean that then produces a raw csv file
->The Media Buyer then puts this file into Genesis
->Genesis comes up with a spread of slots. The Media buyer needs to look at this to ensure there are no blank spots and that the spots are optimised
->This file is then put back into MediaOcean which produces a file that is sent to networks 
->Networks respond with what is available and there can be multiple negotiation points here.
->The Account manager then produces a slot schedule summary  which is sent to the client for approval.
->Approved Slot spend is sent to Networks
