Job Description
MINIMUM 2 YEARS IN MAINTENANCE ENVIRONMENT PREFERABLE IN ALUMINUM SMELTER
Experience in Mechanical maintenance worked as a Technician, Foreman or Acting supervisor.
Any heavy process industry like Aluminum smelter, steel, copper or cement plant.
● Carrying out routine/Major maintenance and repairs on rotating equipment, hydraulic systems and pneumatic system. ● Diagnosis and rectification of faults.
● Attend all breakdown jobs and completing with Safety and minimum delays. ● Liaise with parts Warehouse to obtain parts. ● Ensuring Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
● Ensuring appropriate Shift Report is made, all job Work Order Closed, defect forms and service sheets are completed in a timely manner. ● Be part of Day/Shift, a call out Rota and ability to work under pressure. ● Must be proactive- contribute t
● Manage work orders in Oracle system according to Maaden defined work processes. ● Ensure high level of all EHS requirements are met in the department. ● Ensure excellent housekeeping standards are met in the department.
● Actively participate in Maaden continual improvement process (Suggestions, DI etc.) ● Ensure LTV and PTW systems are compiled to in the department. ● Write and review equipment SWI's. ● Mentor technicians and new recruits.
● Perform Shift or weekend cover duties as per the Department roster. ● Must have good communication skills.
● Scheduled and performed regular predictive/ preventicve maintenance inspection on simple and complex equipment. ● Performed repairs, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of Heavy equipment's (Rodux Crusher, Ball mills, Rotary breaker etc.)
