MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY
 
Mechanical quality inspector inspects the installation or replacement of Piping, mechanical and related systems in new and existing buildings and sites. Evaluate and approve or disapprove of the work done in accordance with local regulations. Mechanical inspectors may also investigate reports of code violations. Record their findings and write reports as needed. It's on their say that permits or violation notices are issued.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints, to determine inspection and test procedures.
Analyzes and interprets sample data.
Completes necessary procedures to satisfy licensing requirements, and indicates concurrence with acceptance or rejected decisions.
Cleans and maintains test equipment and instruments to ensure proper functioning.
Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications.
Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications, and adjusts process or assembly equipment to meet standards.
Reads dials and meters to ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications.
Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
Discards or rejects products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
Performs any other related task as maybe assigned by immediate superior.
JOB QUALIFICATION
 
Education/Experiences
Licensed Mechanical Engineer
With 3 years relevant experience in related field
Skills Required
Detail-oriented to make sure that installed systems meet specific code requirements exactly.
Physically fit and mentally aware, since some investigations will mean heading into active construction sites, which could be physically hazardous.
Safety awareness
Strong skills and/or understanding in the areas of design and analytical engineering techniques.
Extensive knowledge in Design Drawings & Fabrication Drawings
Basic understanding in the cement manufacturing process
