Description
1. JOB PURPOSE
The MECHANICAL INSPECTOR is responsible for the implementation of monitoring and inspection, and minor repairs of all machineries and equipment in CCL, PU, RFD, and WWT area en route to better proactive maintenance and prevention of machine breakdown and unscheduled downtime. In addition, this job requires data analysis from the results of inspections and history records of machineries and equipment.
2. JOB SCOPE
Major Tasks
- Conducts scheduled electrical monitoring and inspection in all production lines (CCL, PU, & RFD), WWT, and handling equipment.
- Coordinates with Assistant Manager - Engineering, Maintenance Engineers, and Proactive Maintenance Group with regard to proactive and reactive maintenance activities on machineries and equipment.
- Coordinates with Process Engineers and operators on duty with regard to the status of line machineries and equipment to gather additional information for the inspection report.
- Prepares and submits monitoring and inspection reports to Assistant Manager - Engineering and provides copy for other departments concerned on a daily basis.
- Reviews and improves inspection and monitoring checklists.
- Prepares and submits other required maintenance reports.
- Generates WOR based on the result of inspection if necessary.
- Facilitates the daily update of CMMS.
- Conducts minor repairs, adjustments, and retightening upon carrying out the process of inspection.
- Monitors WOR status and WOR Turnover and Acceptance Report weekly.
- Facilitates the improvement of the Proactive Maintenance Programs of the department.
- Recommends improvements and innovations on machineries and equipment in aid of minimizing downtime, increase productivity, improve product quality, and promote safety.
- Observes and implements maintenance programs, company policies, and safety rules and regulations.
- Observes and implements good housekeeping at their workplace and cleans and keeps mechanical tools and equipment accounted for him.
Minor Tasks
- Attends company initiated activities.
- Attends meetings aside from major-related activities (ISO, Safety, Engineering Club, etc.)
- Conducts plant and warehouse visits to assess quality systems and do safety observations
- Supports and demonstrates ownership of health and safety in his/her own area of responsibility
- Performs other duties that may be required by the immediate supervisor from time to time

6.1.1 Graduate of B.S. Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology with at least two years of related work experience as an inspector in the field of industrial plant maintenance.
6.2 SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
6.2.1 Computer literate, people handling, driving, and must be familiar with precision tools and measurement
