MECHANICAL FITTER
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy machinery and mechanical systems used in mining operations. This includes crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, and other equipment essential for production. The role requires strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, welding, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Safety and preventive maintenance are critical due to the high-risk environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, and maintain mining equipment (e.g., crushers, conveyors, pumps)
Perform repairs and part replacements on mechanical systems
Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
Interpret technical drawings and machine specifications
Follow strict safety protocols and report equipment faults promptly
Work closely with engineers and other maintenance personnel during shutdowns or emergency repairs
